Building Blocks is a unique program created by the Children’s Department of the Woodridge Public Library that promotes school readiness for children ages 3-5.
Stop by the library to pick up a Building Blocks packet that you can use with your child to help them learn the early skills they need to be successful readers and learners. New Building Block kits—filled with activity sheets and helpful supplies to teach ABCs, numbers, colors, and shapes— will be available at the Circulation Desk each Monday. We hand out kits until the supply is gone—there is no registration.
Building Blocks is comprehensive, providing a framework that encourages families to work with their children on nationally recognized skill development activities. It is also flexible and designed so families can join at any time–just jump in!
