Laura Lin
Laura Lin is a self-taught artist and has been doodling ever since she was a little girl. She has participated in several group art exhibitions throughout her life. She enjoys exploring the versatile beauty of art with different kinds of mediums. She has tried ink, charcoal, colored pencils, watercolor, acrylic paint, oil paint, and pastel. The more she engaged with art, the more she became immersed in the fun art world.
In 2020, she left her job and studied Graphic Design at the College of Dupage. She gained experience with digital design and received a Graphic Design Foundation Certificate. She would like to take this solo exhibition to introduce different forms of art.
Art can be performed with physical mediums, such as a simple pencil, or even digital mediums to present a creative vision. Laura would like to be a children's story book illustrator or professional digital artist someday. As of currently, she is a freelance graphic designer who is exploring a variety of different art forms.
The art exhibit will be on display throughout August 2025 at the library lobby.
An artist reception will be held on Saturday, August 9th from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.
