Hear the harrowing tales of brave and remarkable women whose stories are largely unknown, in a multimedia presentation by Kit Sergeant. “In 1942, as the free world crumbled beneath Hitler's jackboot, Churchill's Secret Army began to recruit women to infiltrate Occupied France. The women spies, who came from all walks of life, agreed to serve in the French Resistance knowing that they may never see their families again.”
Kit Sergeant is an author of historical fiction and spy fiction whose work is inspired by true tales of women in history.
Program presented as part of the National Library Week Celebration “There’s More to the Story.”
