Event Details
This program is part of a series of virtual field trips "Your City @ Home" which will explore Chicago's cultural institutions and is sponsored by a group of Illinois public libraries.
Explore the National Museum of Mexican Art, located in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago during this live virtual tour with a museum docent. Highlighting the museum’s permanent collection, the “Nuestras Historias” exhibit showcases dynamic and diverse stories of Mexican identity in North America and presents cultural identity as continually evolving across time, regions, and communities. Ancient Mesoamerican artifacts, modern Mexican art, folk art, and contemporary works from both sides of the U.S.–Mexican border will be featured.
