Virtual: Beethoven - Celebration of a Musical Genius

Reid Taylor – pianist, singer and conductor who has appeared in concerts throughout the United States and Europe - will help us celebrate the life, times and work of Ludwig van Beethoven, one of music’s greatest geniuses on the 250th anniversary of his birth in December of 1770. Beethoven was a composer who overcame much in a life that greatly enriched the world with sublime music. Mr. Taylor will also discuss how art and music can help us through difficult times in our own lives and how the music of Beethoven continues to inspire us.

Mr. Taylor is currently the executive director of Reid Taylor Productions, the choral director of the West Suburban Symphony and The Singing Men of Oak Brook, has performed at Carnegie Hall, conducted a variety of operatic works, and collaborated with The Chicago Brass, Chancel Choir of Christ Church of Oak Brook, Cleveland Orchestra, and artists of Lyric Opera of Chicago.

Thursday, December 3, 7 p.m. This is a free virtual program using Zoom.

Please register and enter your e-mail address for instructions and Zoom connection details. Registration ends 30 minutes prior to the discussion.
