On July 20, 2019 the United States will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the successful Apollo 11 mission which put NASA astronauts on the moon. NASA Solar System Ambassador Mark Benson will share an informative presentation on the moon landing, followed by an opportunity to view the full moon outside the library with a powerful telescope, along with moon and sky viewing tips and information.
This program is designed for adults and teens; elementary school-aged children are welcome to attend if accompanied by an adult. Attendees are welcome to bring their own telescope, but it is not required.
