Meet Elaine Rath, our Featured Artist for the month of June. Elaine's exhibit is titled "Collective Curiosities," and she explains the significance in her Artist's Statement:
I can't say that any one thing inspires my imagination. I live on a lake surrounded by nature in all its changing seasons. I have traveled extensively. I'm a collector and hoarder of "stuff", some of which often gets included in my work. I've lived a long life of many diverse experiences, so I guess my subconscious draws on that conglomerated pool of thoughts. Often just an interesting object or passing memory can set my mind off on a mental adventure that needs to be expressed. My objective is to wake up each day with purpose and to have fun working it out. I hope you enjoy my work.
Elaine has been actively exhibiting her work since 2013, receiving Best of the Best honors in both 2016 and 2017.
