Artists Tina Tyson-Dunne and Holly Tyson invite the public to attend a "Meet-the-Artists" reception in the lobby of the Woodridge Public Library, on Sunday, December 3 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Holly and Tina are a mother and daughter team that share in the love of nature, photography, and art. Tina has degrees in Photography, Cinematography and History and Holly is a self-trained artist. They are also Master Naturalists, which they achieved through the University of Illinois Extension program, and can often be found volunteering locally through the DuPage Forest Preserve surveying birds, dragonflies, or patrolling trails usually with a camera in hand. Much of their work is done locally on Midwest farm roads, bird sanctuaries, wildlife preserves, or a bit farther away: in Ireland, where Tina’s husband is from. From old ancient sites to the local historical barns of the Midwest to eagles fishing the Mississippi to dragonflies resting in a swamp: come view the world through their eyes, their photography and their art works.
