Gene Mark and her family reside in Lemont, Illinois. She actively exhibits her art locally and internationally in solo and group shows. She is a member of Lemont Artist Guild.
Ever since high school photography was part of Gene Mark’s life. At first, photography was a leisurely pastime and hobby that brightened the prosaic, day to day life of a chemical engineer. With time, the hobby grew into a serious endeavor. The artist was fascinated by the ability to emphasize details through photography. Through these accents she expresses the main idea of the art piece.
The artist continues her passion depicting in her art the most subtle elements of the surrounding nature. She has become more proficient in her work and her interest in macro photography lead her to look for answers at professional level while studying at New York Institute of Photography and exploring literature of notable authorities.
Gene Mark pursues her dream practicing and experimenting with available technology to enhance the quality of her photography with perfect light, warmth, and exceptional maturity. Critics and those appreciating the Art of Photography give acclaim to Gene Mark’s cards and photography. Exquisite, rich, and at the same time surprisingly warm works of art adorn homes, enliven offices, and are widely recommended by interior designers.
Gene Mark photography has been used by Kane Boss Production during the filming of “Boss” – A STARZ Original TV series starring Kelsey Grammer. It was awarded 2nd and 3rd place at Love of Art Show (USA). Her photography was also awarded Honorable mention at Alliance of Fine Art Best of the Best Show (USA).
