Earth Day Expo

Primary tabs

Program Type: General Programs

Come out for an afternoon of sustainability, recycling and composting Earth Day activities. Visit a Baby Animal Petting Zoo, see live bees—secured behind Plexiglass—learn about beekeeping, try yoga, taste honey, and much more. Experts from SCARCE, Salt Creek Butterfly Farm, and U of I Extension Master Gardeners will take questions.

Plenty of kid-friendly learning opportunities: make paper, try yoga, pet a baby animal (lamb, goat, bunny, chicks & ducklings), recycle your old crayons, dress up like a bee or beekeeper, taste honey (age 1+), and have other fun as we learn to make earth a better and cleaner place for people, insects and animals.

More details to come as other community partners join us.
