Building is Open with Masks, Social Distancing & Limited Computers

Our Building Has Now Reopened with COVID-19 Safeguards & Capacity Limits

The Woodridge Library has reopened with COVID-19 safety measures in place. Anyone entering the building must wear a face covering and follow social distancing guidelines. The building is reopening with its normal hours. Due to space capacity government mandates, extended visits will not be possible and during peak times visitors may be asked to return later on. Chairs and seating areas have been removed. Limited computers with a 1-hour per day time limit, along with fax/scan/copy and printer access, are available. Visitors should note we have fewer stations and time limits in place due to building capacity and social distancing restrictions. Patrons are welcome to walk through the building to find and checkout books, DVDs, other materials, and use library resources. Staff will be available to provide assistance. We will continue to offer our Curbside Pickup service as a safe "contactless" option for patrons who wish to get library materials without entering the building.

The health and safety of our patrons and staff remain our priority as we reopen carefully, following guidance from the IDPH.

COVID-19 safety precautions include:
  • Anyone entering the building, visitors and staff, must wear a cloth face covering or mask
  • Social distancing guidelines must be followed: stay six feet away from others and observe floor markings and signs at service desks and throughout the building

  • Donations are not being accepted at this time
  • Staff, library volunteers and patrons are asked to maintain safe practices that include frequent handwashing and staying home if you are sick
