Building Custodian

Woodridge Public Library is seeking a responsible and conscientious individual for the position of Building Custodian. This part-time position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the library facility, grounds, and equipment. This person’s primary responsibility is maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the building. Candidate should possess the ability to perform basic maintenance tasks. Typical duties include daily custodial duties, meeting room set up, and removing snow and ice from walkways.

This is a part-time, non-exempt 24 hour a week position. The position comes with vacation, sick, and personal time. Woodridge Public Library is an IMRF employer. Salary starts at $12.16/hr. DOQ.

Job requirements are high school diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of custodian experience. Ability to use basic hand tools and make elementary repairs. Prior maintenance experience preferred.

Human Resources Manager

Woodridge Public Library is seeking an experienced and responsible individual for the position of Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager has sole HR responsibility and is involved in all aspects of human resources activities. Primary responsibilities include processing payroll for all employees, administration of the employee benefits program, and maintaining compliant HR files.  Additional duties include ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, which will require an ongoing commitment to continuing education and familiarity with changes in employment law and regulations. Benefits include 4 weeks of vacation, 7 holidays, and 12 sick days per year. Woodridge Public Library is an IMRF employer. Salary is $47,371.

Job requirements are a Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years or more in progressive HR experience, including areas of employee relations, conflict resolution, and benefits administration. Minimum of two years of experience using a computerized payroll system.  Experience with IMRF benefits administration preferred.
